Apprenticeships and Internships at Milton keynes Christian Centre are an opportunity where you will receive personal development, as well as witnessing and impacting lives being transformed through the power of faith and the Gospel. Our Internship Program and Apprenticeship opportunities are designed to give participants ministry experience, as well as a glimpse into the life of someone in ministry.

Graphic Design

Apprenticeship/Internship

This position is designed for people with a keen interest in a visual communication design or graphic design. Gain hands-on experience with layouts and design for print, web, and interactive projects and communicate directly with departments and ministries as you work from concept to completion on designs. Applicants need to be comfortable working with Adobe programs, Microsoft Office, and online applications; have good oral and written communication skills, and be organised and detail-oriented. Social Media

Apprenticeship/Internship

The Social Media position requires skill and competence in writing, communication, marketing, social platforms, and a knowledge of Milton Keynes Christian Centre. During this internship, you will develop MKCC's Social Media Strategy and Guidelines and work towards implementing them within the church and across social channels. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside various teams such as the Communications, Graphic Design, Web, and Video and help speak into future social campaigns. This is a great opportunity to take what you've learned here and apply it toward a possible future career in Social Media.

Video Production

Apprenticeship/Internship

This position is geared toward people who seek hands-on experience with all areas of video production. As an intern with our Video Production Team, you will learn about live and pre-produced video and broadcast production, develop your skills in Adobe Creative Suite, serve and interact with volunteers in a dynamic ministry setting, and be exposed to learning computer graphics programs like Pro Presenter. Video interns will also assist with managing/prioritising video requests, coordinating equipment/resources for video shoots, presenting ideas and participate in brain storming sessions and working on pre-production, shooting, and post-production in conjunction with our video and creative teams.

This position is geared towards people who seek hands-on experience with all areas of video, animation, and motion graphics. Web Design/Development

Apprenticeship/Internship

This position is designed to give prospective graphic and web designers real world experience in the areas of web design, CMS, brand identity, CSS, and development. Work, learn, and collaborate on projects with graphic and web design professionals. You'll see your design and/or development efforts utilised by real users of our many web and online properties. A well-equipped intern will have some experience in either the Adobe suite of products and WordPress, or CSS and HTML.

Children's Ministry

Apprenticeship/Internship

This position is designed for those looking for an opportunity to gain experience in children’s ministry and childcare. Milton Keynes Christian Centre is a thriving church with a long history of working with to children and young people.

As a Children’s Ministry Intern, you will be under the supervision of our Children’s Pastors. You will be working with children on a Sunday and at other weekly events which you will help to plan and run. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the writing and production of our curriculum materials, planning and running mid-week discipleship groups, and other ministry events. As a Children’s Work Intern, you will be a key player in helping to realise the team’s aim of encouraging kids to dig deeper and discover Jesus for themselves.

The role is varied, providing you with a breadth of ministry experience. You will have opportunities to grow in your individual skills and gifting through on the job training as well as the opportunity to be enrolled in external training with an apprenticeship in childcare.

Worship

Internship

Gain experience in a variety of roles as you practice under the mentorship of a Creative Arts Pastor while concentrating on observation of, participation in, and leadership of worship at Milton Keynes Christian Centre. Gain experience with preparing and helping execute plans for weekly worship band rehearsals and develop a working knowledge and understanding of biblical worship principles, worship planning and design in order to effectively apply these principles in various congregational and cultural contexts.

Grow in your knowledge of music theory, visual medial tools, lighting equipment, production, and sound system basics, and learn about service planning, team scheduling, copyright, music product resources, event promotion, and songwriting.
