Church life is crazy busy. Sundays come around with monotonous regularity. Often for times like Christmas, Easter, church-wide campaigns and vision launches, we plan weeks or even months ahead. No longer is the event finished but we move swiftly on to the next horizon.
We are too busy to take the time to do one of the most important things we will do on the whole process, EVALUATE.
Evaluation is core in what we do in all our ministry areas at Milton Keynes Christian Centre. We look to answer four simple questions (We call it the 4 helpful lists):
What was right? – Optimise (And of course, celebrate!)
What was wrong? – Fix or Stop
What was confusing? – Clarify
What was missing? – Add
Don’t just hit repeat and do the same programs year after year without really being serious about evaluating whether it is hitting the mark. Often, we can easily think if it’s not broken then why fix it!
This simple tool has become important for everything we do at our church.

Seek honest answers from the group.
Prioritise actions (It’s unlikely you will be able to action everything)
